Act One Setup Becoming Machines
Thomas Kelty is given food and water by Boss and joins the work crew. They work over a long period of time and occasionally the Boss checks on their work and gives them food and water.
Inciting Incident The Realization
Justin Houston falls out dead from exhaustion and dehydration
Plot Point #1 The Enclosure
The fence is done, the Boss puts shock collars on the workers and Thomas Smith sees the pile of dead bodies realizing their fate
Act Two Confrontation
The workers begin their new job, busting rocks. Thomas Smith tries to hide his mental transformation from the boss
Midpoint Changing Mindsets
Thomas Smith attempts to reveal their fate to Derrick Spencer. Knocks him out and drags him to the pile of dead bodies, where he has the same realization as Thomas Smith
Plot Point #2 Conspiring Revolt
All the workers have been awakened from the daze, and they gather to plan a revolt
Act Three Resolution Revolution
The workers have their plan schemed, they will keep working like nothing is wrong until the right time to strike and overpower the boss.
Climax Changing Roles
The workers attack the Boss while he is off guard, flipping the power roles, making the boss work for food. They enjoy the power high and it gets to their head as they cruelly taunt the former boss.
Denouement No Power With No One To Control
Thomas Kelty remembers the Boss helping him and gets all but one worker (Derrick Spencer) to stop acting superior and help the boss. All but the last worker leave the work site as Derrick Spencer still tries to play the Master Role but has no one to control. The last scene shows empty work site.

The structure of this story is clear and sound. I hope the transition of power really gets played up, so that the workers really look and feel like they are definitely worse than the Boss.
ReplyDeleteHey, I was wondering if you have any idea how long this will be yet? Since you said it would be a silent piece with no sound, I hope the transitions from each scene will have the impact you want. You will need some good talent. ;)
